ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebates

FirstEnergy's Ohio utilities have contracted with Honeywell to administer this program. This site and its content are maintained by Honeywell.

Energy Star Appliance Rebate Application

Since its inception in 1992, ENERGY STAR® has become a recognized symbol that helps consumers identify energy efficient products that offer savings on energy bills without sacrificing performance.

ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances use 10 to 15 percent less energy and water than standard models, contributing to your overall savings. And, the savings start with rebates of up to $50 on ENERGY STAR qualified appliances.

Look for the ENERGY STAR Label and See What You Can Save!

Visit a store near you to look for new household products that have earned the ENERGY STAR label. These products have met strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Then, you can apply for the following rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified appliances:*

Clothes Washer Rebates

The average American household washes almost 300 loads of laundry each year. An ENERGY STAR qualified washer can reduce related energy costs by up to a third and water costs by up to half.**

Refrigerator Rebates

An ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerator can reduce your annual utility costs by up to $200.**

Room Air Contidioner Rebates

ENERGY STAR qualified room air conditioners use at least 10 percent less energy than conventional models.**

Dehumidifier Rebates

The energy saved throughout the lifespan of an ENERGY STAR qualified dehumidifier could power a refrigerator for five months – potentially saving you $220.**

Freezer rebate

An ENERGY STAR qualified freezer uses 10 percent less energy than non-qualified models.**

And, if you recycle your old, working refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner, you may be eligible for another rebate. FirstEnergy’s utilities have contracted JACO Environmental to provide appliance recycling services to their residential customers.
