Easy Cool Rewards Program

FirstEnergy's utilities have contracted with Honeywell to administer this program. This site and its content are maintained by Honeywell.

Introducing the Easy Cool Rewards Program — you can help ease peak demand for electricity on the hottest summer days.

Participants in this new program will receive a professionally-installed Honeywell programmable thermostat (a $250 value) that can help you reduce your heating and cooling costs by up to 15 percent*.

Who is eligible?

Residential customers of Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company, and Toledo Edison (FirstEnergy’s utilities) service areas with a central air conditioner unit in good working condition can participate in the program. Window and wall air conditioners do not qualify for the program.

(Costs of this program are recovered through residential rates in accordance with Ohio Senate Bill 221. There are no additional fees to participate.)

You must be a FirstEnergy utility customer and your eligible HVAC equipment must be installed in Ohio Edison, Illuminating Company, or Toledo Edison service areas. FirstEnergy’s utilities reserve the right to inspect and qualify all units for operating condition and program participation. Room air conditioners do not qualify for the program.
